Deheng Lawyers Attend Symposium On IP by ACLA
From November 8th to 10th the Symposium on China IP Legal Affairs and the Implementation of State IP Strategy was held at Wangchao Hotel in Wenzhou. The Symposium aimed to summarize the experience of lawyers in participating in the implementation of state IP strategy, and to enhance lawyers’innovative ability in providing comprehensive services.
The Symposium included six sub-forums: Lawyers’ Roles in the IP Operation and Management, Lawyers’ Trademark Practice, Lawyers’ Patent Practice, Issues of Claiming Litigation Concerning IP, Criminal Protection of IP and the Application and Management of High-Tech Enterprises’ IP.
The sub-forums invited professional lawyers specializing in various industries, and also judges with abundant trial experience in the IP area, to give speeches. Lawyer Ma Xiannian from Shandong Deheng Law Firm spoke on the Resolution of Difficult Issues in IP Pledge Financing at the sub-forum on the Application and Management of High-Tech Enterprises’ IP.
Deheng Lawyers Wang Jun and Wang Haijun also attended the Symposium and communicated with other attendees on relevant issues.
The Symposium also selected the top ten IP cases of ACLA, some excellent books and the top ten articles on IP. The case of infringement of the copyright of Jinglun STB, handled by lawyer Yao Kefeng of Beijing DHH Law Firm, was selected among the top ten IP cases of 2013. The book “Apple’s IPad Ache”, the first author of which is lawyer Liu Haolin from Bejing DHH Law Firm, won the Award of Excellent Book.
