Washington D.C. Office Attends Sino-American IP Conference Held in U.S.A.
The Washington D.C. representative of Deheng Law Group Ms. Shan Luan and lawyer Mr. Liang Ge from Beijing DHH Law Firm attended the “Sino-American IP Conference 2012” in Washington D.C on September 19.
The Conference was co-chaired by the Deputy Representative of International Trade Negotiation of China’s Ministry of Commerce Mr. Chong Quan, the Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Mr. Demetrios J. Marantis, and the Under Secretary of Commerce for IP and Director of the Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Mr. David Kappos.
Relevant governmental departments from both China and the United States attended the Conference. The attendees discussed and exchanged opinions on the protection of IP and Sino-American cooperation concerning patents, trademarks, copyright and business secrets etc.
Shan Luan and Liang Ge introduced Deheng Law Group to the Conference, and in particular the Group’s Washington D.C. Representative Office. They also communicated with well-known enterprises attending the Conference from both China and abroad, answered questions and pointed out the problems with regard to IP. Many enterprises expressed their interest in the IP legal services of Deheng Law Group, and some initial appointments were made.
