Mr. Luan Shaohu and Mr. Liu Kejiang Attended and Gave Speeches in Washington D.C.
On April 3rd, 2015, Mr. Luan Shaohu (founding partner of Beijing DHH Law Firm, vice director of the criminal law committee of All China Lawyers Association) and Mr. Liu Kejiang (executive director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, leading legal practitioner in foreign-related legal services) were invited to give speeches for District of Columbia Chinese Legal Association at Washington D.C. Mr. Luan’s lecture topics were the new trend of China’s criminal litigation and the method of dealing with foreign citizens’ criminal charges in China. And Mr. Liu’s lecture topics were about the reform of the approval system of Chinese enterprises’ foreign business as well as the role of lawyers in Chinese companies’ oversea operation.
District of Columbia Chinese Legal Association is an academic organization with membership of more than 100 that consist of lawyers, legal consultants, law professors and students registered in the District of Columbia region. The event was named “Legal moment of Deheng” by the organizers, which was made as a part of DHH D.C. Office’s opening ceremony. More than 20 attendees as well as Ms. Xie Zheng (director of the association) and Ms. Luan Shan (vice-director of the association) were all satisfied with the unfolding of the event and hoped that there could be more of such event between the association and DHH Law Firm in the future.
