On July 23, the collection of Chen Xiangmei, the widow of Chennault, a well-known social activist and former Flying Tigers general, was initiated by Quinn's auction house and auctioned on the liveauctioneers auction website. Beijing DHH Washington Office actively participated and actively bid. More than ten pieces of the collection were acquired to show respect to Ms. Chen Xiangmei and General Chennault and to commemorate their contributions to the friendship between China and the United States.

A total of 116 collections was auctioned in this auction, including scroll paintings, jade carvings, glazed ceramics and other collections of Chennault and Chen Xiangmei, as well as daily necessities of Chen Xiangmei’s home in Watergate Building, Washington. All proceeds will be donated to the schools in Washington area to support the promotion of Chinese language, culture, education and Sino-US friendship.

General Claire Lee Chennault (September 6, 1893-July 27, 1958) was a lieutenant general of the US Army Air Force. During World War II, General Chennault led the Chinese Air Force's American Aviation Volunteer Team, known as the "Flying Tigers," and the Chinese people to resist the Japanese aggressors and made an indelible contribution to Chinese resistance. Former Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Liang Guanglie once praised General Chennault, saying that "the Chinese people will never forget the old friends who have supported and helped us."

Chen Xiangmei (Anna Chan Chennault June 23, 1925-March 30, 2018) is the wife of General Chennault, a world-renowned Chinese and overseas Chinese leader, social activist, and chairman of the American Council for International Cooperation.

Chen Xiangmei enjoys the reputation of "China and the United States Civilian Ambassador". She has made active contributions to a series of major events including President Nixon's visit to China in 1972 and the official establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States in 1979. Around New Year's Day in 1981, Chen Xiangmei visited Beijing as President Reagan's special envoy. At the welcoming banquet held in the Great Hall of the People, Deng Xiaoping placed Chen Xiangmei in the position of the first distinguished guest and US Senator Stevens in the second seat. Deng Xiaoping said: "Chen Xiangmei is the first, and Senator Stevens is second, because there are 100 senators in the United States, and Chen Xiangmei, let alone the United States, there is only one in the world." The words moved Chen Xiangmei, and  inspired her to spare no effort in developing Sino-US relations.

On September 2, 2015, President Xi Jinping presented a commemorative medal for the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance to Chen Xiangmei in the Great Hall of the People.

As the only branch of the Chinese law firm in the Greater Washington area, Beijing DHH Washington Office takes the responsibility of connecting legal resources between China and the United States and supporting clients' cross-border business as its mission, taking client needs as the core, and provide high-quality and efficient legal services in the fields of Chinese law and American law relying on a professional elite team. More than ten of the 116 collections of Chen Xiangmei were acquired this time, paying tribute to General Chennault who supported and helped the Chinese people fight against the Japanese aggressors, and Chen Xiangmei, the "steel butterfly" who devoted her life to the development of Sino-US relations.
