ECLA Expands to 23 Provinces (Municipalities, Autonomous Regions),with Chen Youxi, Luan Shaohu, Xiao Liming, Liu Wei and Zeng Xianwen as Honorary Chair and Senior Advisors
On March 3rd, 2013 the Elite China Legal Alliance (ECLA), on its first anniversary, held the third Partner Representative Meeting and the Joining Ceremony for New Members at Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai.
Initiated by Beijing DHH Law Firm, Sichuan Heng Hexin Law Firm and Fujian Tuowei Law Firm, ECLA included nine founding members: Shaanxi Boshuo Law Firm, Shandong Deheng Law Firm, Liaoning Tongge Law Firm and Yunnan Tian Waitian Law Firm etc.
After one year’s development ECLA has attracted more and more elite law firms. This time 19 new members from 19 cities were accepted after a voting procedure according to the ECLA Cooperation Agreement. These firms included Hainan Yurun Law Firm, Jiangxi Qinfeng Law Firm, Jilin Ruizhi Law Firm, Guangdong Tongyi Law Firm, Heilongjiang Yuandong Law Firm, Jiangsu Maotong Law Firm, Xinjiang Yuanzheng Law Firm, Guizhou Xingke Law Firm, Gansu Hengya Law Firm, Zhejiang Jinshan Law Firm, Tianjin Gaodi Law Firm, Jiangsu Nanfang Law Firm, Taipei Liu & Co. Law Offices and Six branches of Deheng Law Group, as independent members, namely Deheng Jinan Law Firm, DHH Shanghai Law Firm, DHH Nanjing Law Frim, DHH Handan Law Firm, DHH Zhengzhou Law Firm and DHH Taiyuan Law Firm.
This Meeting also formed the Second Session of the Management Committee according to the ECLA Cooperation Agreement and elected the members of the Second Session of the Executive Committee and the members of the First Session of the Board of Supervisors. On this meeting ECLA invited the Director of Jingheng Law Group Mr. Chen Youxi and the Chair of Deheng Law Group’s Partners’ Meeting Mr. Luan Shaohu as honorary chairmen, and Editor Liu Wei from the Dianjing Net, Chief Editor Xiao Liming from the Faren Magazine and Associate Editor Zeng Xianwen from the Fangyuang Magazine as senor advisors.
Up to now the member firms of ECLA total 26, covering 26 cities in 23 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). There are 931 practicing lawyers and 1300 staff. ECLA has almost accomplished the building of the service platform covering most provinces and is capable of providing clients with nationwide legal services. ECLA, the biggest China legal alliance, is now within a whisker of achieving full coverage of 32 provinces in the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The new honorary chairman of the Alliance, prominent lawyer Chen Youxi, addressed the First Session of the Executive Committee and all member firms in his concluding speech: on the way of exploring the development via alliance the concepts of good faith and quality commitment should be integrated into the standardized building system, and the active participation in the building of a nation under the rule of law should be regarded as the primary social responsibility of all lawyers.
