ECLA Holds Beijing Seminar on Tax Management

On July 19 a Seminar on Tax Management was held in Beijing, under the sponsorship of Elite China Legal Alliance (ECLA) and assisted by Deheng Law Group. As well as partners from ECLA member firms such as Jiangxi Qinfeng Law Firm, Jilin Ruizhi Law Firm, Shaanxi Boshuo Law Firm and Beijing DHH (Zhengzhou) Law Firm, the Seminar also attracted more than a dozen partners or lawyers from other firms. These included Anhui Gaosu Law Firm, Hubei Puji Law Firm, Hunan Tiandiren Law Firm, Hunan Junjian Law Firm, Ningxia Maying Law Firm, Zhejiang Zancheng Law Firm, Guangxi Wanyi Law Firm and Inner Mongolia Jingye Law Firm etc.

The Seminar was presided over by Mr. Luan Shaohu, Chairman of the Partners’ Meeting of Deheng Law Group and Honorary Chairman of ECLA.

Director Jiang Qi of Beijing DHH Law Firm, who is also the Executive President of ECLA, delivered a speech entitled “Build the Joint Cruiser Fleet of Chinese Lawyers Circle”,. This speech introduced the foundation and developmental status of ECLA, its difference from other legal alliances and its future development plans.

Mr. Ji Cheng, the Deputy Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm and the Secretary-General of ECLA spoke on “ECLA Platforms for Micro-era and Public Communication”. He introduced the Alliance’s platforms and tools for public communication and publicity. These included the magazines “Ten-day Newsletter” and “ECLA Legal Action”, the official website, microblogging, Wechat, QQ and Skype etc.

Ms Zhang Wen, senior partner and the Director of HR and Finance Department of Deheng Law Group, spoke on “How Law Firms Should Deal with the Change from Business Taxation to VAT”. She fully explained and analyzed the background and the influences to law firms of this change, and the methods for dealing with it.

To date ECLA has members in all provinces except Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Nixia, Qinghai and Tibet. The Alliance welcomes your attention to its development.
